Yes, we're flexible whenever possible. Standard check-in is after 3 PM and check-out by 12 PM, with self check-in on a smart lock. Each stay gets its own PIN. Tell us your travel plans and we'll do our best to accommodate late arrivals or departures, subject to availability.

Usually yes. The road to RedRock is maintained through the season. We recommend snow tires from December to March, and 4x4 after heavy snowfall. We send every guest a road update the day before arrival.

Yes, and we mean it. The chalet runs on a battery system that covers the grid cuts entirely. No generator noise, no scheduled outages, no scrambling for candles. It's the thing guests mention most.

Yes. Faqra is the safest area in Lebanon: a quiet mountain resort that Lebanese families come up to all year. RedRock itself is gated, with security at the entrance, and every arrival is registered in advance. For anything specific, ask Karl. He lives here and will answer honestly.

About 45 minutes by car from BEY. Rent a car or ask Karl to recommend a driver who knows the mountain road. At the RedRock gate, give your name and say you're staying at The Nest. Every arrival is registered with security in advance.

Lebanese General Security requires hosts to register guests' IDs for the duration of the stay, standard for every legal stay in Lebanon, hotels included. Karl asks for a copy before arrival and uses it for that purpose only.

Airbnb bookings are paid by card through Airbnb, and a booking made on this site is paid to Karl by Whish, or by card through a secure Whish payment link he sends. For everything else, Lebanon runs on cash and US dollars are accepted everywhere. Bring small notes for restaurants, shops and tips, since card payments are rare on the mountain.

Nothing you need to worry about. Check-in is a smart lock with your own PIN, so you let yourself in whenever you arrive. Tell Karl your landing time and the heating will be on. Power, hot water and WiFi run on the chalet's own battery system regardless of the grid.

Not on the mountain. The nearest hospitals are down toward the coast. Pharmacies are minutes away in Faraya. For anything serious, call the Red Cross on 140 and message Karl so he can help with the road.
