What a Day Is
A day at The Nest is a night: check-in is after 3 PM and check-out by 12 PM the next day, with self check-in on a smart lock and your own PIN. Tell Karl your travel plans and he will do his best to accommodate a late arrival or a late departure, subject to availability. The calendar shows the minimum stay for the dates you pick.
The Nightly Rates
Low season (26 March to 31 May and 16 September to 30 November) is $118 a night on weekdays and $128 on Friday and Saturday nights. Ski season (3 January to 25 March) and pool season (1 June to 15 September) are $149 on weekdays and $169 at weekends; the pools themselves are open mid-June to 30 September. Peak dates (13 to 15 February, 13 to 17 August and 1 to 29 December) are $169 and $189, with a one-night minimum. New Year, 30 December to 2 January, is $299 and $349 with a three-night minimum.
Those are the whole prices. Cleaning and linens are included, the cleaning fee is $0, and pets stay free. The calendar on the homepage shows the exact total for your dates, including which minimum applies.
One Night, a Weekend, a Week
For most of the year you can book a single night. A midweek night at the low-season rate is the cheapest way to sleep at 1,600 metres. Seven nights or more take 15% off the whole stay, which brings a week in pool season down noticeably.
The rate is the same whether you book on this site or on Airbnb. Airbnb adds its guest service fee on top; booking here does not. This site's calendar reads Airbnb's as well as its own bookings, so a date it shows as free is free on both.

Paying and Cancelling
A booking made on this site is paid to Karl by Whish or by card (through a secure Whish payment link he sends), and an Airbnb booking is paid by card through Airbnb. For everything else, Lebanon runs on cash and US dollars are accepted everywhere.
On Airbnb, its Moderate policy applies: a full refund if you cancel at least 5 days before check-in. If you book on this site, you see the cancellation terms before you hold your dates.
A Month in the Mountains
Stays of 28 nights or more take 30% off, and long-term stays are allowed. That is where remote work comes in: the chalet has a dedicated workspace with natural light, WiFi that carries a video call, and a pocket 4G device as an independent backup, all running on a battery system that ignores the grid cuts. An in-unit washer-dryer, a kitchenette for everyday cooking, cleaning during your stay on request, and Faraya's shops eight minutes below (many deliver) make a month practical rather than heroic.
Low season is the sweet spot: the trails are green, the mountain is empty, and a month costs less than most people expect. Message Karl for an exact monthly figure for your dates.

What "Cheap" Means Here
The Nest is not the cheapest bed on the Faraya–Faqra mountain; a bunk in a shared ski apartment is. It is a whole private chalet for two inside RedRock, with an indoor garage and 24/7 power. If you are comparing, compare the total: no cleaning fee, no parking charge, no generator surcharge, breakfast makings and a bottle of wine already on the counter.
Common Questions
Can I rent the chalet for one night?
The minimum stay is one night in low season, in ski and pool season and on peak dates, and three nights over New Year (30 December to 2 January). The calendar shows the minimum for your dates.
Is there a cleaning fee?
The cleaning fee is $0: cleaning and linens are included in the nightly rate. The price you see in the calendar is the price you pay, plus Airbnb's service fee if you book through Airbnb.
How much is a monthly rental?
Stays of 28 nights or more take 30% off the nightly rate for those dates. Message Karl on WhatsApp with your month and he will send the exact total.
Is it cheaper to book direct?
The nightly rate is identical. Booking on this site skips Airbnb's guest service fee, and you pay Karl directly by Whish or by card; booking on Airbnb adds the fee and gives you Airbnb's payment handling and cancellation protections.
Are weekends more expensive?
Friday and Saturday nights carry the weekend rate in every season: $128 in low season, $169 in ski and pool season, $189 on peak dates and $349 over New Year.
