An Infinity Pool at the End of the Path
RedRock's shared pools are a two-minute walk from the door, with loungers, shade, and the valley dropping away past the far edge.
Your Own Lawn and Fire Pit
The patio and grass are private to the chalet, with a barbecue grill ready to use. A small bag of firewood comes with the stay, so light the fire as the valley goes dark.
It Actually Cools Down at Night
At 1,600 metres the evenings turn cool even in August. You sleep with the windows open instead of fighting the coast's humidity.
Walks Start at the Door
RedRock has its own paths, a bio-farm and a deer reserve inside the village, with the Faqra Roman ruins and Chabrouh dam a short drive further.

Forty-five minutes from Beirut, and the same from the airport. Leave after work and be at the fire pit before it is properly dark.

The pools run seasonally and July and August weekends fill early. Pets are welcome at no extra charge.

Is The Nest in Faraya, Kfardebian or Faqra?
Faqra, inside the Kfardebian municipality: RedRock sits in Faqra Club, eight minutes above the Faraya cafés and eight from the Mzaar Kfardebian lifts. A chalet in Faraya, in Kfardebian or near Mzaar all mean this one mountain; the names are the villages along its road.
Is the pool private?
No. RedRock has three shared outdoor infinity pools for residents and guests, the nearest a two-minute walk from the door, open mid-June to 30 September from 10 AM to 7 PM. The lawn, patio and fire pit are private to the chalet.
Is the pool heated?
No. At 1,600 metres it is refreshing mountain water, at its warmest in late July and August.
How hot does it get in Faqra in summer?
Warm days and cool nights. At 1,600 metres the evenings cool down even in August, so you sleep with the windows open. There is no air conditioning, and you rarely want it; portable fans are provided.
What are the summer rates?
From 1 June to 15 September the chalet is $149 a night on weekdays and $169 on Friday and Saturday nights, cleaning included. 13 to 17 August is charged at the Peak Season rate, $169 and $189. Low season (26 March to 31 May and 16 September to 30 November) starts at $118.
Can I bring my dog in summer?
Yes, at no extra charge. Dogs stay leashed on RedRock's paths and away from the deer reserve, and the pool decks are for people.
Is firewood or charcoal provided for the fire pit?
A small bag of firewood comes with the stay and the barbecue grill is ready to use. Extra bundles are charged, or buy wood and charcoal in Faraya on the way up.
