Self check-in at The Nest, RedRock Faqra: what to tell the gate, when you get your PIN, standard 3 PM / 12 PM times, and what is waiting inside.
What to Know
- We send your PIN, photo directions and WiFi 24 hours before arrival.
- Gate: your name + Karl / The Nest. ID may be requested.
- Standard check-in 3:00 PM, checkout 12:00 PM, flexible when the calendar allows.
- Wine or beers, Nespresso and water are waiting. Firewood is not.
You don't need to meet anyone at a fixed hour. Arrive when the road and your plans allow, after you've cleared the RedRock gate and entered your PIN at the door.
Before you leave
We ask for a copy of your ID before check-in, as required for Lebanese General Security. Twenty-four hours before arrival we send: your PIN for the smart lock, photo directions to the door, WiFi details, garage number, and a road and weather update.
At RedRock security
Give your name and say you're staying at The Nest with Karl. You may be asked to show ID. Then follow the photo directions to the chalet.
How the smart lock works
Each stay gets its own PIN on the smart lock at the main door. Enter it on the keypad and go in. That's it, including late arrivals after a delayed drive from Beirut.
Standard times
Check-in from 3:00 PM, check-out by 12:00 PM. We're flexible when the calendar allows, ask when you book and we'll say honestly whether early arrival or late departure works.
If you'd rather be met
Some guests prefer a person at the door. Say so and Karl will arrange to meet you and walk you through the space.
What's waiting
Local wine or cold beers, Nespresso capsules, bottled water, linens and towels. Heating will be on if it's cold when we know your arrival window. Firewood is not included, bring your own or buy nearby before you settle in for a firepit evening.
Checking out
Turn things off, lock the terrace door properly, and close the main door. The smart lock holds it. No key to return.

What time can I arrive?
Standard check-in is after 3:00 PM. Self check-in works any hour once the previous stay has cleared.
What do I tell the gate?
Your name, and The Nest / Karl. ID may be requested.
When do I get the code?
About 24 hours before arrival, with photo directions and WiFi.
Do you need my ID?
Yes: a copy before check-in for General Security registration.
What do I do at checkout?
Turn things off, lock the terrace, close the main door by noon. No key to return.
